Business Development Representative

Asentria is a worldwide leader in providing monitoring and control systems for remote wireless (cellular, microwave) infrastructure. Asentria products are used to monitor and manage the passive infrastructure (power, generators, cooling, batteries, temperature, etc.) of cell huts and cabinets to increase efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and prevent site failures. To achieve this, Asentria designs advanced controllers tailored to perform a variety of tasks and support its customers' operational goals.

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to grow our customer base across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa (EU/MENA). This exciting role will focus on key industries such as telecommunications, utilities, and public safety, where our cutting-edge solutions improve the efficiency and reliability of remote site monitoring and control.

In this role, you'll utilize leads generated through our marketing efforts and LinkedIn searches to engage prospective customers, identify high-potential opportunities, and drive revenue growth. You'll work closely with a Sales Engineer for technical support and conduct strategic pre-sales visits to secure deals and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.

If you're a motivated sales professional ready to expand market reach, travel frequently, and work with innovative technology, we want to hear from you!

Thus, for the position of Business Development Representative, the team member must perform these duties:

  • Identifying and developing new sales opportunities in the EU/MENA Region, converting them into revenue.
  • Receive revenue targets and expectations that are set by management and make every effort to meet or exceed those expectations.
  • Spending greater than 70% of your time on Business Development and less than 30% on Account Management, and if necessary to turn over or delegate some Account Management in order to achieve this.
  • Recognize the importance of initial and periodic face-to-face meetings with prospective and current customers and embrace doing so through planned travel and trade shows etc. Travel may approach an average of 50% of your time, or possibly more.
  • Collaborating with other business development and account management team members and working toward mutual success.
  • Attending periodic regular meetings with team members and with your manager to discuss the status of opportunities in the pipeline, ensuring that all important opportunities are not stuck, that they are receiving adequate attention from Sales and other parts of the company if needed, and that opportunities are not lost unnecessarily.
  • Participating in planning toward and attending relevant industry tradeshows, working together with other Biz Dev and Marketing team members as needed with logistics and assets for such tradeshows.
  • Utilizing lists and contact information generated through the efforts of other marketing and lead generation team members, working to convert such identities and leads into opportunities and then sales.
  • Utilizing lists and contact data of past customers to get back in touch with them to discover if they have current needs for Asentria products.
  • Identifying and engaging with potential Asentria partners who may be interested in serving as resellers of Asentria products or in any other similar partnership relationship that is beneficial to Asentria.
  • Using such partners to find and pursue sales opportunities and convert them into revenue for Asentria.
  • Collaborating with other Sales teams, staying in touch periodically with them to avoid an environment of isolated silos and to promote greater sharing of ideas and resources, as well as gaining their assistance or guidance with opportunities where it will be beneficial to Asentria to do so.
  • Collaborating with Sales Engineer team members (including those assigned to other teams when needed) to use their services when needed to convert opportunities into revenue more effectively.
  • Keeping an accurate record of all leads and opportunities and relevant activity related to those opportunities by utilizing Odoo CRM, its pipeline functionality, and its workflows. Adhering to relevant company policies and SOPs and general best practices on the subject. Encouraging other Biz Dev team members to do the same.
  • Utilizing Odoo CRM to accurately track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to revenue as well as the estimated value of opportunities in the pipeline. Deferring to the final adjudication of the head of your department if any conflicts or uncertainties arise related to ownership.
  • Potentially assisting Marketing in the creation of articles posts and other copy which can be marketed to potential customers and which is calculated to generate new leads successfully.

By applying the following skills, training, and experiences:
