Remote Site Monitoring and Telemanagement Sensor Accessories

In addition to the proprietary EventSensors that Asentria offers, SiteBoss and TeleBoss units are designed to work with a number of third-party and generic sensors. These sensors may connect directly to the Asentria unit, or interface by way of an optional Expansion Card. These sensor accessories were selected to monitor items such as physical events, enclosure environment, security, voltage, power and more. Watts-On Transducer

Monitor 3 phase power to SNMP with this 3rd-party device that works in conjunction with the SiteBoss S550. This accessory, which can be powered off of any standard and readily available 24VAC or DC supply, provides true RMS parameters per phase: Voltage, Current, Power, Energy (W, VA, VAR), frequency and power factor. Reports by way of standard RS-485 (MODBUS) communication and delivers high resolution (24 bit-ADCS) with 16 kHz sampling. Download brochure

DC Sensor (Hall Effect Sensor)

Combine with a SiteBoss or TeleBoss unit and a 4VP sensor card to monitor current flow of DC power being supplied to equipment. Current Sensor Kits include the DC sensor and additional sensor cable (part number 2061-002)

MCTA Solid-Core Transformer

Ideal for use with the WattsOn Power Transducer, the MCTA Solid Core Transformer provides a means of scaling a large primary (input) current into a smaller, manageable output (secondary) current for measurement and instrumentation. It is capable of measuring current up to 300 A and delivers mA output. MCTA current sensors must be installed on insulated conductors only.

Photoelectric Smoke Sensor

When used in conjunction with a SiteBoss or TeleBoss unit, the smoke sensor can monitor for the presence of smoke in an equipment room. When smoke is detected, the detector closes a form C contact closure that can be sensed by any Asentria product that supports a contact closure input (such as that provided by an Asentria –8C Expansion card). Note: This device does not have an audible alarm or battery backup.

Audible Smoke Sensor with Installation Kit

This audible smoke sensor monitors for the presence of smoke and when detected sounds an alarm and closes a form C contact closure that can be sensed by any Asentria product that supports a contact closure input. Note that this smoke detector is intended to mount on an AC junction box which provides AC power. The unit is available in 120V OR 220vAC, appropriate for all of Europe and other countries that have 200-220VAC 50-60Hz power. Please specify the country where the smoke detector will be installed when ordering.

Water Sensor

The water sensor monitors and detects the presence of water on the floor of an equipment room or cabinet. When water is detected, the sensor closes a form C contact closure that can be sensed by any Asentria product that supports a contact closure input, such as the Asentria 8C Expansion card. The contact closure output of the water sensor is attached to the contact closure input of the Asentria monitoring device via the 25’ wire pair that is provided as part of the water sensor.

Water Sensor Adapter

Combine with up to 4 individual Water Sensors to adapt for use with standard contact closure inputs on any Asentria product. Water sensors monitor for the presence of water in any enclosed space such as a MUX, PBX, or cabinet enclosure. Daisy chain water sensor adapters together for comprehensive water monitoring solution.

Door Sensor

The door sensor indicates the opening or closing of any standard residential or cabinet door. The door sensor is a simple magnetic switch which opens a form C contact closure within the sensor if a door is opened. As a basic contact closure, it can be detected by any Asentria product that supports contact closures, such as the Asentria 8C Expansion card. The door sensor is attached to the contact closure input of the Asentria monitoring device via the 25’ wire pair that is provided as part of the door sensor.

Air-Flow Sensor

The air-flow sensor provides a simple but reliable alternative to indicate positive or negative air flow of fans. When properly installed and connected in series with an optical (i.e. LED) or audible signaling device, a bi-directional switch will activate an electrical contact if the air flow of the fan falls below 8.2 ft/s, thus either turning the signaling device on or off.

110 VAC Monitoring Transformer

When used in conjunction with our analog voltage input card, this sensor provides a means to measure the AC voltage levels appearing at a standard US electrical outlet. Output: 12 VDC 300 mA

I-Snail-S AC Sensor

The I-Snail-S switch provides an accurate and cost effective method of monitoring the on/off status of electric loads including fans, pumps, motors, heaters and virtually any AC powered device. The digital (on/off) output provides a N.O. dry contact closure which may be interfaced to PLCs, DDC panels, or control relays. The I-Snail-S provides a terminal block for cabling.

T-Sense Temperature Sensor

This 3rd party temperature sensor delivers a wide range of temperature measurements with a fast response to temperature variations and predictable accuracy. In addition to the increased electrical performance is its physical durability. The RJ45 connectors on either end will accept RJ11 and 12 connectors as well as RJ45, thus allowing use of economical cat5 cable or simple phone wire. The RJ45 connectors do not provide Ethernet compatibility.

Link 45 - DB9 to RJ45 Connector

The Link45 is an advanced, intelligent serial port interface consisting of a DB9 connector that attaches to the serial port of the host hardware and a female RJ45 connector that provides output to the 1-Wire bus. The RJ45 connector is fully compatible with RJ11 and RJ12 connectors.

Fuel Level Monitor

Combined with the communications capability of a SiteBoss unit, this sensor monitors the physical level of fuel in generator tanks. It is also possible to measure fuel viscosity with a certain available fuel viscosity monitor.
